Q&A with Dr. Hite
Dr. Hite Answers Your Eyecare Questions
What signs may exist that my child needs an eye exam?
Many signs can indicate vision problems. Squinting at distance objects, sitting closer than is needed to materials, headaches when using eyes, head tilts, and changes in reading interest may indicate a problem.
Why Choose Us?
Eyes are important indicators of overall health, and comprehensive eye care goes beyond a prescription for glasses or contact lenses. At North Range Eye Care, we take the time to get to know you, your eye care history, and your vision needs. Our Optometrist Dr. David Hite provides the expert care, advice, options, and follow up care you need whether you are a new or existing patient.
North Range Eye Care is committed to providing the most up to date eye care experience for the entire family. We are proud to provide all the technology needed to diagnose and manage the full range of eye care problems. Our services include medical eye treatment, pediatric eye care, specialty contact lenses, advanced eye disease diagnosis and management, etc.
Advanced Technologies Used By Our Optometrist
North Range Eye Care’s technology spans the entire eye care spectrum. The auto refractor gives the Doctor a starting estimate of the glasses prescription as well as basic corneal shape readings. If more advanced corneal imaging is needed, we have a Corneal Topographer to map the shape of the eye and help design specialty contact lenses. We have both wide field and classic fundus photography to digitally image the retina and it’s structure. Our visual field unit helps us to diagnose problems with Glaucoma, Multiple Sclerosis, problems with high risk medications, post-stroke problems, and others.
Our OCT provides a digital scan of the deep underlying retinal structures, allowing us to provide early diagnosis of Macular degeneration and other diseases. The I-Care Tonometer allows us to measure the pressure of the eye without any need for a puff of air.
We are dedicated to continually expanding our services. In the near future North Range Eye Care will be providing Vision Therapy services. Vision therapy can help diagnose and treat strabismus, amblyopia (Lazy eye), reading problems, and tracking issues.
