Dr. Alessandra Roa, O.D. started her education by obtaining a Batchelor’s degree in Health and Human Physiology from the University of Iowa. Afterward, she excelled academically and received her Doctorate in Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. She then completed an Ocular Disease Residency at the Illinois College of Optometry. During her education, she received specialized experience in specialty contact lenses, ocular disease, a Veteran’s Affairs hospital, and ocular urgent care triage and management.
While in Optometry school, Dr. Roa was an active member in the SVOSH service club, an organization dedicated to international vision mission trips. She’s also a proud member of the Gold Key Optometric Honor Society. She plans to continue her passion for service locally in the Commerce City community.
Dr. Roa and her husband are excited to start a new chapter of their life, to settle down and start a family in Colorful Colorado! They look forward to exploring the area and finding favorite hiking locations, local breweries, and unique restaurants. In her free time, Dr. Roa enjoys trying new foods, spending time with her five siblings, and creating the perfect homemade latte.
Dr. Roa believes in a comprehensive approach to the examination of the eye’s health, vision correction, and correlation to systemic health. Knowing that the eyes are the windows to the body’s systemic health, she focuses on applying ocular findings to the overall health of her patients.
She will be working at North Range Eye Care Full-Time and is happy to see patients of all ages. Dr. Roa is excited to establish herself it in the community as a health care provider and looks forward to growing her patient base and seeing the families of her new neighbors and friends.
